in many capacities. He has
extensive experience in all facets of commercial
mortgage banking. Tom is a past President
of the Illinois Mortgage Bankers Association
and a graduate of Lake Forest College.

Andrew
I. Philipsborn
President

Andy joined the firm in
1976 and has wide-ranging experience in all
aspects of commercial mortgage banking including
debt and equity financing. He is responsible
for all new production and institutional relationships.
He is a past Director of the Illinois Mortgage
Bankers Association and former Chair of its
Income Property Group. Andy is a graduate of
Vanderbilt University and a licensed real estate

Lynch
Vice President and Treasurer

all servicing and accounting functions. Additionally,
John is responsible for the asset management
of properties the Company oversees. He holds
an undergraduate degree from the University
of Illinois and attended the University of
Chicagos graduate school. John began
his career with the accounting firm of Peat
Marwick.

David E. Kubert

David has been with The Philipsborn Company since the beginning of 2000. Prior to joining the Company, he was involved in the brokerage, leasing, and marketing of commercial properties for over 12 years. David holds a MBA degree from the University of Chicago, a Bachelor degree from Northwestern University, and is a licensed real estate broker. David is involved in the origination, structuring, and placement of debt and equity transactions.

Ace joined us in 2005 and has over 30 years of experience in the hospitality and real estate industries. He was a partner at Laventhol & Horwath for over 20 years, directing their consulting practice in the Midwest for the real estate and hospitality industries. Subsequently, he provided financial and development consulting services to these industries through his own company. Ace is a graduate of Cornell University and has completed graduate coursework in finance and accounting. Ace is originating debt and equity transactions for hospitality clients and special sale-leaseback transactions for private companies. |

Steve has recently joined us and has 30 years of commercial real estate experience including institutional investment sales, mortgage financing, joint venture development and equity financing. Formerly a Senior Vice President with Grubb & Ellis and Trammell Crow Company, Steve’s career includes completing transactions of more than 15 million square feet of retail, 6 million square feet of office, 4 million square feet of industrial and over 4,000 hotel rooms.

Jay joined the Company in 2004 after graduating from Northwestern University with a degree in Industrial Engineering and Management Sciences. Following two years of assisting us in our analysis of specific transactions and preparing loan submissions for institutional lenders, Jay now is originating and placing debt and equity transactions.

Roger Lu

Roger has been with The Philipsborn Company since 1996 having just graduated from the University of Illinois with a Master of Science degree in Finance and a Bachelor degree, Suma Cum Laude, from the University of Arizona. Roger is responsible for the preparation of mortgage and equity submissions, property inspections and valuations, and network systems. |
